At TARA Costumes, every project is personal. Some clients come in with a dress that needs the perfect fit. Others arrive with a sketch, a performance costume idea, a damaged garment, or a dream piece they cannot find in stores.
Tara helps turn those ideas into beautifully made garments through expert sewing, precise measurements, thoughtful design, and decades of technical experience.

About Tara
Meet Tara, the designer behind TARA Costumes.
Tara's love for sewing began when she was a child. She learned to sew at only 10 years old, her first garment was designed, cut and sewn entirely by herself.
After high school, Tara became certified in patternmaking and sewing. She later earned a bachelor's degree in business administration before moving to Canada to follow her passion for fashion design.
In 1999, Tara graduated from the International Academy of Design and began working with well-known companies that specialized in dance, gymnastics and skating costumes. Over the years she has created performance pieces, custom garments, designer samples and white-label pieces for fashion designers whose work has reached celebrity clients.
Today, Tara brings together creativity, technical skill, patience and more than 25 years of professional experience to help clients across Toronto, Richmond Hill and the GTA create clothing that feels personal, polished and beautifully made.
